FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR BUSINESSES REQUIRED TO CLOSE BY GOVERNMENT OR SEVERELY IMPACTED BY LOCAL RESTRICTIONS
Following recent announcements by the Prime Minister and the Chancellor in response to the COVID – 19 virus pandemic the government is providing further grant support to ratepayers who have responsibility for business rates at certain eligible hereditaments.
The National Restrictions Support Grant applies from 5 November 2020 to 2 December 2020.
This support is aimed at businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors that have been mandated to close by Central Government.
Businesses that qualify in these sectors will be eligible for the following grant for the 4-week period:
- Rateable Value up to and including £15,000: £1,334
- Rateable Value from £15,001 to £50,999: £2,000
- Rateable Value from £51,000 and above: £3,000
